- Introduce the lesson:Today we study the passage talking about sources of energy.
-Answer freely
- Listen 
Pre - reading.
- Asks Ss to work with a partner. and answer the questions
- Guides Ss to answer and suggested
1.What source of enegy does each picture above refer to ?
2.What do you need energy for ?
- Goes around the class and provides if necessary.
- Calls on some Ss to read aloud their
 answers in front of the class. 
- Gives correct answers:
Vocabulary 
- Gives and explains the meaning of new words.
- Guides Ss to read new words.
- Call on some Ss to read new words in front of the class.
- Discuss in the groups and answer the questions
 -Suggested answers
1.Windmills /wind energy,hydroelectricity/water power/energy
2. We need energy to live and work,drive our machines,light,cook meals,cool the house
- Listen and write new words.

- Read new words in chorus and individual.

do the tasks that follow.
- Asks Ss to read silent.
Task 1: 
- The words in the box all appear in the passage.Fill each blank with a suitable word.Use a dictionarynwhen necessary.
Example:
1.Six hundred balloons were released at 
the ceremony
- Guide Ss to make.
- Asks Ss individualwork - Goes around the class and provides if necessary.
- Calls on some Ss to read aloud their
 answers in front of the class and asks 
Ss to explain their sentences.
