Gerund
Form:	V-ing
Usage:	
Gerund is used as Subject
Ex: Smoking is harmful.
Gerund follows preposition.
Ex: I am interested in taking photographs.
Gerund is used as Object follows some verbs such as like, enjoys, avoid, love, deny, admit
Ex: I like singing karaoke with my friends.
Gerund follow some verbs phrases or adjective phrases such as afraid of, sad at, good at, approve of, look forward to, objection to
Ex: I am afraid of being alone at night.
Exercise 1: Complete the sentences with an appropriate gerund of the verbs from the box.

Present participle
Form:	V-ing
Usage:	
Present participle is used as an adjective.
Ex: That's an interesting book. 
The present participle may be used with "while" or “by” to express an idea of simultaneity ("while") or causality ("by").
Ex: He finished dinner while watching television.
Present participle is used in omitted clause.
Ex: Leaving school, I came back my hometown.
Exercise 2: Complete the sentences with an appropriate present participle of the verbs from the box.
