 I. Stabilization: Teacher greets and students response

 II. Check up: (5’) Rewrite the sentences using participles or to infinitives

2. The homework which is given by Mrs. Mai is very difficult.

3. My grandmother is the first person who recognized Mary

UNIT 12: THE ASIAN GAMES
READING
A. Objectives:
* Knowledge: - Students can practise reading for gist and specific information about the history of 
 The Asian Games.
 - Students can use some vocabulary relating to sports and sports events to read and talk 
 about the topic.

	* Attitude : Being eager to learn 
B. Preparation for the lesson: 
	* Teacher’s preparation: Textbook, projector, posters and cassette.
	* Students’ preparation : Textbooks, posters, preparation of old lesson and new lesson

CONTENT
-Teacher gives the pictures of sports events on the screen and have students work in two groups.
- Teacher gives each picture and asks any member of each groups to speak aloud answer.
- Teacher checks and gives presents to the group who have more right answers.
- Teacher has students match the words in column A with the meaning in column B
-Teacher calls students speak aloud their answer.
- Teacher helps students practise pronouncing these words.
- Teacher asks students to work in pairs.
- Teacher can pronoun

-Teacher has students read the questions quickly and find the answers
-Teacher ask students to look at the screen and do the task. 
- Teacher calls on some students to go to the board to write the answers.
- Teacher checks the answers by opening the hidden words on the screen
-Teacher has students work in groups of four.
-Teacher asks them to read the text again then complete the table on posters in 4 minutes.
-Teacher calls 1 group have quickest answers to correct in front of the class and give present.
-Teacher has students play a game “choose the numbers and do the exercises”. 
- Students divided into two group:
+Group A: Name a country beginning with a letter
+Group B: Name a sport beginning with a letter
- Students work individually.
- Students match a word in column A with its meaning in column B by speaking aloud their answer in frond of the class.
- Students listen and repeat.
- Students look at the pictures and guess name of sports 
- Students work in pairs, choosing the correct answer
- Students work in pairs, filling each blank with a suitable word.
- Students go to the board to write their answer.
- Students are asked to work in groups.
- Students give their answers on the posters.
- Students give the correct answer for each sentence.
- Students are asked to work in the same groups to do this task.
