PROCEDURE
I. WARM-UP: (5min)
- T divides the class into 2 teams
- T sticks the posters on BB.
- T asks 2 teams to decide whether the words are pronounced with /g/ or /k/.
- T checks 2 teams’ answers and congratulate the winner

* Lead- in: T leads in to teach the pronunciation stage: Today we will learn how to pronounce the sounds: /g/ and /k/
I. PRONUNCIATION (6 min)
- T asks Ss to read chorally and individually the words above
- T asks Ss to open their books on page 150 and read the sentences in textbook
- T corrects Ss if necessary
II. GRAMMAR (20 min)
1. Will vs. going to
a. Setting the scene:
- T sticks a poster with 2 examples:
Ex 1: 	A: Ruth called you when you was out.
B: Yes, I know. I will/ am going to call her.
Ex 2: 	A: Ann is in hospital now.
B: Oh! I don’t know that, I will/ am going to visit her now.
- From the 2 sentences, T elicits the forms and usages of “will” and “be going to”
b. Concept checking:
* Will:
+ Form:
S + will + Vinf
+ Usage: “Will” is used when we decide to do something at the time of speaking.
* Be going to:
+ Form:
S + be going to + Vinf
+ Usage: “Going to” is used when we say what we have “arranged” to do.
c. Practice
- T asks Ss to do exercise 1 on page 150, 151
- T asks some Ss to go to BB and write the answers
- T corrects Ss’ answers
* Answer key:
1. I will get 	2. I’m going to wash 	3. Are you going to paint
4. I’m going to buy 	5. I will show 	6. I will do 
2. Will: making predictions & making offers
a. Presentation
- T shows a picture of a girl running to school and says:
“I think she will be late for school.”
- T writes the sentence on BB and elicits the usage of “will” in this situation
+ Usage: “Will” is used to make prediction
- T shows a picture of a girl bringing a very heavy suitcase and says:
“This is Lan, she is bringing a heavy suitcase, so I say with her: ‘I will help you to bring this suitcase’.”
- T writes the sentence on BB and elicits the usage of “will” in this situation
+ Usage: “Will” is used to make offers
b. Practice:
- T delivers handouts to Ss and asks them to do the exercise on it
Exercise: 
Complete the sentences with will + one of these verbs and decide whether the sentences are to make predictions (P) or offers (O).

5. It’s a bit cold in this room, I will switch the heating on. (O)

9. Goodbye. I expect we will meet again before long. (P)
10. We haven’t got any milk so I will buy some. (O)
- T calls some Ss go to BB and write the answers
- T corrects Ss’ answers
IV. PRODUCTION (10 min)
Game: Lucky number
- T divides the class into 2 teams and asks them to play the game: Lucky number.
- “You have to choose a number and answer a question. If your answer is right, you will receive 10 marks; if your answer is wrong, you will lose your turn to the other group. Remember that there is one lucky number, you don’t have to answer any question but still get 10 marks if you choose that number.”

V. HOMEWORK: (2min)
Teacher ask Ss do exercise 2, 3 (page 151, 152) in textbook.
