Gerund
After some verbs: enjoy, miss, avoid, 
After prepositions “ in, at , of , on with, .” She is good at learning E.L.
Expressions: “In spite of, can’t help ( K theå traùnh ñöôïc), can’t stand, it’s no good / use,..”
I can’t stand being stuck in traffic jams.
present participle
After Verbs of perceptions: hear, smell, see, find, catch 
+ V bare Inf: a complete action: I saw the man cross the road.
+ Participle : an incomplete action : I saw the man crossing the road.
Using in the pattern: Spend / waste + time / money + present participle
He spent $400 buying that watch.
Reducing a sentence or part of a sentence.
1. He sang to himself. He walked down the road.
-> Singing to himself, he walked down the road.
2. He put on his coat and left the house.
-> Putting on his coat, he left the house.
3. Because he felt tired, he went to bed early.
-> Feeling tired, he went to bed early.
VI. Perfect Gerund and perfect participle
Perfect Gerund
Form: Having + P.P
He was accused of deserting his ship.
= He was accused of having deserted his ship.
Perfect Participle
Form: Having + P.P
1. Switching off the lights, we went to bed.
= Having Switched off the lights, we went to bed.
	2. She bought the bike and cycled home.
	= Having bought the bike , she cycled home..
VII. Pronoun : one(s), someone, anyone, no one, every one
One/ Ones + Singular / plural Verb -> replace a previous mentioned noun
	Someone = somebody + Singular Verb -> in an affirmative statement or a question
Everyone = everybody + Singular Verb -> in an affirmative statement refer to every 
	 person or people
	Anyone = anybody + Singular Verb -> in a negative statement or a question
	No one + Singular Verb -> use an affirmative verb

Meaning and usage: It is used to report others’ Thanking, apologies, accusations, 
 We don’t use “say” in this structure.
 Note: Some verbs do not need a preposition: stop, deny, admit, suggest,

Examples:
