- Knowledge: To help learners get started with some language items in Unit 10.

+ For vocabulary, that is words and phrases related to healthy lifestyle and longevity.

+ For pronunciation, invitations, suggestions, polite requests, uncertainty and surprise.

+ For grammar, reported speech with conditionals and with to infinitives and gerunds.

- Skills: To promote Ss to develop integrated skills, mainly reading and speaking.

- Attitude: To help Ss get awareness of healthy lifestyle.

2. Orientation towards students’ competency development: After the lesson, Ss have a chance to own some vocabulary about the topic and knowledge about reported speech with to-infinitive and gerunds.

- Ask students to discuss some questions:
1. What do you often do to keep you healthy?
2. What kinds of food are good for your health?
- Invite some students to express ideas.
- Lead in the new lesson.

To help Ss to get accustomed to vocabulary, intonation and the grammatical point “Reported speech”
- Tell students that they are going to listen to a conversation between Kim and Max.
- Ask students to look at the visual diagram illustrating the four principles of staying healthy. - Play the recording and have students listen and read the conversation silently, and then write the name of the correct principle under each picture.
- Check students’ answers as a class.
Expected products:
- Focus on listening and reading in silence.
- Name of the correct principles:

2. Orientation towards students’ competency development: To make the students be aware of having a self-assessment to see how far they have progressed and which areas need further practice.

- Asks students to compare the information they have collected about their survey participants, find out any common features and prepare their reports.
