 A. Aims 
 1. Objectives : By the end of the lesson, sts will be able to: 
	- Interpret information presented and identify language to be used for writing a 
biography of a famous person.
- Write a biography of a famous person based on given information.
 2. Teaching aids:

I. Organization
- T checks the number of students and asks Ss to make some class arrangement.
 II. Checking the old lesson
- T calls on 1 student and asks him/her some questions.
- T gives comments and mark.
 III. New lesson 
 1. Warm- up: 
- T shows the picture of Neil Armstrong and asks some questions.
1. Who is he?
2. Is he a Russian or an American astronaut?
3. Who did he set foot on the moon with?
- T gets sts to find out necessary information to write a biography.

- T introduces to the topic of the lesson: Writing a biography of Neil Armstrong.
 2. Task 1
- T gets sts to read the task requirements and work on the task with a peer.
- T gets sts to read the given information in the box and below it.
- T explains the meaning and the use of some words and phrases.
- T gets sts to work in pairs and put the headings in the box in the appropriate blank.
- T checks and gives the keys:
1. date of birth 4. career
2. place of birth 5. quote
3. known as
 3. Task 2
- T asks sts to use the given information to write a biography of Neil Armstrong.
- T goes around to check and offer help.
- T asks sts to work in pairs and correct each other’s writing.
 5. Feedback on sts’ writing
- T chooses a writing and reads it to the class.
- T elicits corrective feedback from the class and gives final comments afterwards. T draw sts’ attention to the organization of writing, use of articles (a, an, ...), prepositions (at, on, in, ....) and the language use, especially the verb tenses (mainly past simple)
 IV. Consolidation
- T summarises the main points of the lesson.
 V. Homework
- T asks sts to write a description of a table they see in the newspaper (any table).
