I. Aim:

 - Reading a text about entertainment.

II. Objectives:

 By the end of the lesson, the Ss will be able to:

- Have an overview of different kinds of entertainment in the US and acquire a certain vocabulary in this field.

- Improve skimming and scanning skills to fulfill such typical reading excercises as reading for specific information, heading.

- Express attitudes towards some forms of entertainment in their hometown.

II. Materials:

- Textbook, blackboard, chalk .

III. Anticipated problems:

- Ss may find it difficult to understand the meaning of some new words. So teacher should give them some key words in Vietnamese before reading the text and do tasks.

I. Aim:
 - Reading a text about entertainment.
II. Objectives:
 By the end of the lesson, the Ss will be able to:
- Have an overview of different kinds of entertainment in the US and acquire a certain vocabulary in this field.
- Improve skimming and scanning skills to fulfill such typical reading excercises as reading for specific information, heading.
- Express attitudes towards some forms of entertainment in their hometown.

Aim: To raise sts’ interest and to lead to the new topic
1. Can you name all kinds of entertainment that you know? 
2. What kinds of entertainment do you like best? Why do you like it?
- We have learn one part of the reading text, who can tell me once again, what is the reading text about?
- Set the scence:
So, today we will continue with the next part of our lesson: Unit 13- Entertainment- Reading (cont).
- Asks Ss to read loud the requirement.
+ Now I will give you 2 mins to work in pairs and match the words appeared in the passage with corresponding definitions. Then compare your answers with your friends.
- Asks some Ss to stand up and read aloud their answers.
- Gives the feedback.
- Give the meaning of the words
- Ask Ss to play a game named “ lucky number”
1, Giving rules
The class is divided into two teams.
Each team in turn chooses a number at random and do the task requested, if the answer is correct, ONE POINT is scored. In case the answer is wrong, the other team can answer
If a LUCKY NUMBER is chosen, ONE POINT is given without the answer, and the team continues choosing another number to answer.
 The team getting more points is the winner.
2, Ask Ss from 2 groups to choose at random 1 number, clik at the symbol and give out the questions, if they can answer, thay can get 1 point.

3, Analysing questions:
Answer the following questions:
1. Which country is the international center of culture?
 It is the United States.
2. Are many concerts, art exhibitions and theatrical performances of world-renown found in New York, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, etc?

3. What are the most popular sources of entertainment in United States? 
It’s television, movies, and recorded music 
4. Beside movies and music, which form of entertainment are enjoyed by most Americans? 
It is sports that are enjoyed by most Americans

- Stand up and read aloud the requirement.
