A. AIMS:

1.Objectives: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:

-Develop such listening micro-skills as intensive listening for specific information

- Summarize the listening text while listening and talk about related problems.

2.Teaching aids:

- textbook, lesson plan

B. PROCEDURES:

Aims:

- T checks the number of students and asks Ss to make some class arrangement.

- The monitor reports the number of students in his/her class to the teacher.
 II. Checking the old lesson:
- T calls 2 sts to interview each other about their hobbies.
A: What do yo do in your free time?
B: I listen to music.

- T gives comments and marks

- continue interviewing each other about about their hobbies.

 III. New lesson: 
Warm- up: 
- T gets sts to make as many sentences as possible with the words provided.
stamp, fish, books, swimming.
- T calls on the representative of each group to give their ideas.
- T leads sts to the lesson.

- work in groups and make as many sentences as possible with the words provided.
stamp, fish, books, swimming.
Eg: I have a lot of stamps.
 I like reading books.
 We usually eat fish.

Before you listen:
*Work with a partner:
- T asks Sts to discuss the requirement in pairs.
- T calls on some Ss to present their ideas in front of the class.
- T asks sts to guess what they are going to listen to.
* Lisen and repeat
- T reads words for the first time.
- T reads all the words twice again.
- T explains the meaning and asks some sts to read again.
- T gives feedback

While you listen:
*Task 1:
- T asks Ss to open the textbook.
- T asks a student to read out the requirement of task 1.
- T asks Ss to listen to the tape recording and decide the statements are true or false according to the talk.
- T plays the tape recording several times if necessary.
- T has Ss compare their answers with a friend and correct the false ones.
- T calls on some Ss to read their answers aloud in front of the class.
- T feedbacks and gives out the answers:

*Task 2:
 - T asks a student to read out the requirement of the task.
- T asks Ss to study the text carefully for the missing information they need to fill and guess the answers. T might also want to remind Ss that while listening they need to focus on this information and write the answers down in note forms, not full sentences.
- After playing the tape, T gets Ss to work in pairs and check their answers.
- T calls on some Ss to give their answers. T provides correct answers. If some Ss cannot have the answers, T might want to let Ss listen one more time and pause at the answers for them to catch.

T asks sts to say what they have to remember after this lesson.
