1. Objectives : By the end of the lesson, sts will be able to:
- Talk about the reasons why animals and plants in nature are being
badly destroyed
- Give the necessary/possible measures to protect the natural environment.

B. PROCEDURES
Date of preparation: Date of teaching : Period: Unit 10: nature in danger Lesson 2: Speaking A. Aims 1. Objectives : By the end of the lesson, sts will be able to: - Talk about the reasons why animals and plants in nature are being badly destroyed - Give the necessary/possible measures to protect the natural environment. 2. Teaching aids: - blackboard, chalk, some pictures, handouts - textbook, lesson plan B. Procedures Teacher’s activities Time Student’s activities I. Organization - T checks the number of students and asks Ss to make some class arrangement. II. Checking the old lesson - T calls on 1 student and asks some questions: 1. What causes danger to environment? 2. How to protect the environment? - T gives comments and mark. III. New lesson 1. Warm- up - T asks students two questions. + Why do we call some animals such as tigers, bears, elephants, whales endangered animals ? + What should we do to protect and save them? - T gives comments. - T introduces the topic of the speaking lesson. 2. Task 1: - T asks 1 student to read out the requirement of the task. - T asks sts to read through the reasons provided on page 118. T makes sure that sts understand the statement. - T gets sts to work in pairs to order the reasons and explain their order. - T goes around the class to check and offers help. - T calls on some pairs to present their order and asks other pairs to give comments. 3. Task 2 - T asks 1 student to read out the requirement of the task. - T asks sts to read the sentences on page 118. T reminds sts that they will have to match the reasons in task 1 with the sentences in Task2. -T asks sts to work in pairs to match the reasons with the possible measures. - T calls on some sts to practise. - T elicits feedback from the class and gives final comments. A: It is said that people are killing animals for fur, skin and food. B. I think killing animals for fur, skin and food should be banned. 4. Task 3: - T asks 1 student to read out the requirement of the task. - T asks sts to use the information in Task1 and task 2 and make small dialogues like this : A: It is said that people are burning forests and cutting down trees for wood. B. That’s why the forests are destroyed. A. What should we do to protect forests? B. I think burning forests and cutting down trees for wood should be banned. -T asks sts to work in pairs to do the task. -T goes around, controls, and helps - T calls on some sts to present their dialogues. - T elicits feedback from the class and gives final comments. IV. Consolidation - T summarises the main points of the lesson. V. Homework - T asks sts to learn by heart all of the words and expressions used to talk about population explosion. VI. Feedback 1.
