Tell some roles of music which are mentioned in the reading text.
III) Warm up:(5’)
Listen to 4 pieces of songs belonging to 4 kinds of songs: classical music, folk music, pop music, rock music and guess what kind of song is.
- 4 pieces of songs:
1. Bong hong thuy tinh- Buc Tuong.
2. Hoa nhip con tim- My Linh
3. Love story- Taylor Swift.
4. Moonlight- Beethoven.
IV) New lesson:
1) Pre- speaking(10’)
Task 1: Read what Ha Anh says about music.
“Yes, I love pop music. It keeps me happy. I really like the Backstreet Boys- they are easy to listen to. Their songs cheer me up whenever I feel bad. I listen to them all the time. I have a Walkman so I can listen to music when I am out. At home I always have the radio on and I watch pop programmes on TV.”
Answer the questions.

ØSuggested report:
Both Phuong and Trinh like listening to music because it makes them feel relaxed. However, they have different tastes for music. Phuong likes classical music because it is gentle while Trinh feels excited with loud and noisy sounds of rock music. They often listen to music when they have free time. Phuong’s favorite musician is Beethoven. According to her, when listening to Beethoven’s works, she can forget her troubles easily. Meanwhile, Trinh is a fan of Buc Tuong band. She says that music of this band helps reduce her stress easily.
