AIMS
Students learn about other countries and their capitals, how to use their names, nationalities and languages exactly.
Students can introduce their nationality and language and ask others 
about these.

Use a world map and show students the locations of Viet Nam, USA, France, Japan, china, Australia, great Britain.
Introduce oneself and others, using the following structures. I’m 	(teacher’s names). I’m from Vietnam. And this is john. He’s from the USD.
Let students listen to the cassette and repeat.
Let them introduce themselves, look at the picture and play the roles of Laura, Marie, lee, john, yoke, Susan, Bruce, and Minh.
Introduce the wh-question “where is  from?” and the answer “she’s / he’s from”
Let students practice in pairs ask and answer about the places they come from.
Show them pictures of some famous people and ask them about their countries and nationalities (Uncle Ho, Lenin)
Look at the map and listen to the teacher attentively
Try to take part in practicing how to introduce oneself, using the cues given
Listen to the cassette then repeat.
Look at the picture and listen to the teacher’s request, then introduce people as the teacher shows.
Notice the new structures given by the teacher.
Practice in pairs, ask and answer questions about the countries.
Look at picture. Try to find out what he or she is and where they are from.

Read the sentences and ask them to listen attentively.
Ask them to retell Minh’s introduction.
Introduce new structures: “I speak Vietnamese.”
Ask some more questions about Susan (English), yoke (Japanese), lee (Chinese), Bruce (Australia) and let them answer.
Have them build up new sentences and write in their notebooks.
Listen to the teacher as requested.

AIMS 
Students can compare things: building, constructions, cities, the growth of population.
Students learn how to use the comparatives and superlatives of some short adjectives indicating sizes.

Show students a picture in which 3 things were drawn in 3 exactly different size.
Choose three students who have different height and ask them to stand before the class. Ask students to observe and tell about each one
Write the words on the board and ask them to repeat.

Let students observe the three different adjectives. Ask them to say what the difference is and give the formation of the comparative and superlative from.
Let them copy the models and the formations, and memorize

Look at the board and repeat the new words as the teacher requests.

Read the passage and ask students questions about some big cities they know in Vietnam, then in the world.
Ask them about the population of these cities.
Let them listen to the cassette
Ask some students to read the passage aloud.
Make a chart and give the numbers of the population in some cities, then ask students
Ask them questions (yes – no) to check their vocabulary and reading comprehension.
Explain how to make question with WHICH to ask about choice. Mention how to pronounce.

Show them a map of Vietnam introduce some interesting places such as Da Lat, Vung Tau, Hue, Sapa.
Show them pictures in which there are “mountain, river, forest, beach” to define the meanings of each item.
Let them listen to the cassette and repeat, sentences by sentence.
Show them a piture of a desert and ask them if they know why there isn’t a desert in Viet Nam.
Ask some more question to make sure students all know the meanings of the geographical words.
Look at the map of Vietnam and listen to the teacher’s introduction.
Look at the pictures and say the names of each item shown by the teacher.
