Aim(s):- Educate Ss to listen to background about the competitions Boston Marathon in USA.
- Develop extentive listening skills.
- Use the information they have listen to for other communicative tasks. Lexical items: Words and phrases related to the listening.

Warm-up (5 minutes) - Asks Ss to answer some questions. 1.Have you ever took part in a Marathon in your school/ countryside? 2.How many people were there participate? 3.What did they organize on month ? - Introduce the new lesson about the Boston Marathon. - Listen and prepare answers. - Answer free. - Listen and prepare the new lesson. Before you Listen: * Discuss and saying about the picture in the textbook. - Asks Ss to work in pairs. Ask and answer the following questions. - Guides Ss to make some strategies and answer the questions 1.What is the Boston Marathon? 2.Who do you think can take part in the Boston race? - Asks Ss to read the questions carefully to appropriate them. - Walks around the class to help when necessary. - Asks Ss to compare their answers with friends. - Calls some Ss to practice the following pairs in front of the class. - Remark and give correct answers: *Listen and repeat: - Guides Ss to read words and explain the meaning. - Asks Ss to read in chorus and individual - Calls some Ss to practice them in front of the class. - Gets Ss to make sentences with some important words. Calls representative to read it in front of the class. - Remarks and check the errors and corrective feedback.
