What are the Aborigines living in Kakadu National park trained to become? III. Warm up: hot seat Pictures : boating fishing trekking camping . IV. Pre listening 1.Discussion: In pairs, discuss the following questions 1. What are they doing? 2. Have you ever done these activities? 3. Have you ever been to a national park in Vietnam? If yes, what did you and tourists do there? If no, guess what tourists can do there. 2. Introduction: T: We are going to listen to a conversation between Nam and Van about where to go during the weekend. V. While listening Task 1: Listen and check to the boxes next to the correct information you hear from their conversation Feedback: - go short or long trekking around the forest - go camping - see various kinds of animals and plants Task 2: Listen again and answer the following questions 1. Post listening In groups of four, suggest some measures to conserve the environment of national parks Possible answers: - Tourists should be guided on how to protect the natural environment - Building campfire in national parks should be banned - Chopping young trees, killing fish and animals should be banned VII. Homework - Write a list of things tourists can do in national parks and suggest some measures to conserve the environment of national parks - Prepare Speaking - Greeting - Checking the attendance of the class T asks Ss some questions relevant to the reading text. Ss do as required. T divides the class into two groups. Each group chooses a representative coming to the board and turning his/ her back to it. T shows pictures one by one in front of the class and sticks them on the board. Two representatives can’t see these pictures. Two groups describe the pictures of trekking, camping, fishing and boating for their representatives to guess what these pictures are. The group whose representative guesses the picture correctly will have one point. At the end of the game, the group getting higher points is the winner. Ss are asked to work in pairs to answer some questions T calls some Ss to answer the questions. T gives feedback. T plays the tape the second time for Ss to check their answers. T checks Ss’ answers by calling on some Ss to answer. If there are a lot of Ss having the same wrong answers, play that point of the tape for Ss to check the answers again. T gives the correct answers. Ss are asked to read through the questions to understand them and underline key words. T asks Ss whether they can do the task based on the previous times of listening. If Ss can, T asks them to give the answers and write them on the board. T plays the tape once for Ss to check their answers. T asked Ss to work in pairs to compare their answers. T checks Ss’ answers by calling on some Ss to answer. If there are a lot of Ss having the same wrong answers, play that point of the tape for Ss to check the answers again. T gives the correct answers.
