- Aims: by the end of the lesson, the students will be able to know how to distinguish and pronounce four sounds /pt/, /bd/, /ps/, /bz/. Moreover, the students will be able to know and use the cleft sentences correctly and suitably.

 Teaching aids: blackboard, textbook, posters, pictures, etc.

Procedure:

 Warm-up: Game: Secret picture (6')

- Teacher gives instruction: “First, I would like to divide the class into two teams: team A and team B. Now I have a secret picture and six numbers. Each team will in turn choose a number and answer the question. If your answer is correct, you will have right to see a piece of the picture. Which team can guess what the picture is will be the winner.”

- Teacher checks students’ understanding of instruction

Procedure:

and answer the question. With a correct answer you will 
get one step on the stair. There are two lucky apples and 
if you are lucky, you will get one step without answering
 the question. Which team goes to the top first will be the 
winner and will get so many apples.”
