Đối với động từ to be chia là is/ are

* Use: 
1. Diễn tả sự kiện lặp đi lặp lại( a repeated event) hay một thói quen (habit).
eg: she goes to school every day.
2. Diễn tả một chân lý hay sự thật hiển nhiên.
eg: The sun rises in the East.
Water freezes at 00c 
4. Diễn tả sự kiện sảy ra ở tương lai theo thời khóa biểu.
eg: The meeting begins at 7:30 a.m next week.
- Dấu hiệu nhận biết thì hiện tại đơn trong câu thường có các trạng từ chỉ tần suất, chỉ mức độ thường xuyên như: always, often, usually, generally, every, once a week/ month/ year.
Adverbs of frequency 
Kinds: Loại: Trạng từ năng diễn gồm có hai nhóm
Trạng từ trong câu: always usually, often, sometimes, never
Trạng từ cuối câu: every.,once/twice a week
Positions(vị trí): Trạng từ ở trong câu
luôn luôn đứng sau động từ to be
eg: He is always early for work.
trước động từ thường 
eg: He sometimes plays sports with friends
sau trợ động từ
eg. He will often go to the library
The simple past tense
Form: 
(+) s + v (ed,irregular)..
(-)s + did not + v..
(?) did + s+v ..? 
 yes, s +did
 no,s + didn’t
Động từ to be chia là 
S+ was/were
(-)s +was/were not
(?) were/was + s + 
Use: 
Diễn tả sự kiện xảy ra và chấm dứt hoàn toàn trong quá khứ.
eg. He visited that ancient pagoda
sự kiện xảy ra tại một thời điểm cụ thể trong quá khứ 
eg: what did you do last summer?
một thói quen trong quá khứ và đã chấm dứt.
eg: when he was young, he went swimming every afternoon.
sự kiện sảy ra đồng thời hay sau một hành đọng khác trong quá khứ
eg: I was reading a book when he came in.
- Dấu hiệu nhận biết: trong câu thường có các từ last, yesterday, ago,
exercise 1:
