Unit 3: A party LESSON 2_SPEAKING I. Objectives: 1. Do you like quiet or noisy parties? - T shows the picture in the textbook and asks sts: Are they having a party? - T leads sts to the lesson. Answer the questions. Before you speak - T explains some new words: 1. Host (n): chủ nhà (nam) → Hostess (n): chủ nhà (nữ). 2. Decorate (v): trang trí. → Decoration (n): sự trang trí. 3. Budget (n): ngân sách. - T asks sts to listen and repeat - T asks sts some other questions: 1. Do you often go to parties? 2. When and where did it take place? 3. How do you feel? Listen and repeat Answer the questions While you speak Task 1 - T asks sts to choose something from the list to talk about a party they have been to. - T asks to practice in pairs within 3 mins. - After that, T asks some pairs to speak in front of the class. - T listens and corrects their mistakes. Task 2 - T asks sts to talk about a party. -T asks sts to do Task 2 in pairs and practice within 3 mins. - After 3 mins, T asks some sts to talk about their parties. - T gives some suggestions. *Where (home-cosy, not expensive, not spend a lot of time to prepare, not have to clean up *What time *How many guests *What to eat / drink (soft drinks, mineral water./ ckicken soup, green salad, steak, fired chicken, fish, beef, hamburger, cake) *What to wear (dress, jeans, shirts, T-shirt, pullover, skirt) *Which activities (singing, playing games, taking photographs, give gifts Work in pairs to do the task Work in pairs. After you speak Task 3: - T asks sts to do Task 3 in groups to discuss about their planning party using some suggestion on the book within 3 mins. - After 3 mins, T asks some sts to perform in front of the class. - T corrects common mistakes and gives comments.
