PROCEDURE
I. WARM-UP (4 mins)
* Brainstorming
T: Show some pictures about activities relate to camping holiday and ask what they are doing. (See appendix)
Expected answers:
putting up an umbrella tent
making a fire
swimming in a lake, river
taking shower
carrying a backpack
* Lead in: 
T: When do you do these activities?
Ss: go for a camping holiday, go for a picnic,...
T: Where do you often spend your holiday? 
Ss: national parks, Da Lat, at home, ...
T: Who do you usually go on holiday with? 
Ss: friends, relatives, 
T: Now, today you are going to listen to someone talking about his / her holiday. Unit 14: Recreation, C- Listening
II. PRE-LISTENING (7 mins)
1. Teaching vocabulary:
waterfall (n) 	: thác nước (Picture)
 T: (Point at the picture) what is this?
trash (n) = rubbish	: rác rưởi (Synonym)
 T: What is the synonym of the word rubbish?
depressed (adj) = sad, disappointed	: chán nản, tuyệt vọng (Synonym)
 T: Give me another word of sad or disappointed
wilderness (n) 	: vùng hoang dã (Translation)
 T: How can you say “vùng hoang dã” in English?
dirt bike (n) 	: xe mô tô địa hình (Picture)
 T: (Point at the picture) What is this?
solitude (n) = loneliness	: cô độc (Translation)
2. Checking: Gap-filling

III. WHILE-LISTENING
*Task 1: True/False Statements (11 mins)

Give handouts of the tapescript with some gaps for Ss to fill in it.
Tapescript: 
Anna: In the summer, the hot and humid weather makes me feel depressed, so I often go to beautiful national parks and forests. I also usually spend two weeks with my friends in a national park every year. We might stay at campgrounds in the park. What we enjoy most is to ride (1) _____ in the desert, take showers in waterfalls and (2) ____ in lakes and rivers. And at night, we can sleep in our sleeping bags or (3) _____.
Terry: I used to go to the mountains, deserts and other places in summer. Although I’m still attracted to the beauty of nature, these natural places aren’t as beautiful as they used to be because people leave (4) ______ in forests, and take rocks and (5) _______with them. Call representatives of each group to report in front of the whole class
