Non –defining RC E.g. 3. The table that was broken has now been repaired Notes: We can omit the relative pronoun in a defining RC and when the relative pronoun plays as an object in the clause. 2. Practice: Exercise 1: Complete each of the following sentences, using suitable sentence in the box to make a RC without a Relative Pronoun Key: Have you found the bike you lost. Most of the classmates he invited to the party couldn’t come. The short stories John told were very funny. The dictionary I bought yesterday is expensive, but very interesting. I didn’t like the man we met this morning. The beef we had for lunch was really delicious. Exercise 2: Complete each of the following sentences, using suitable sentence in the box to make a RC with a preposition Key: I enjoy my job because I like the people I work with.
