LESSON PLAN
I. Warm up: (5 mins)
Game: “What is the order?”
- deliver the cards for Ss 
- give instruction
- the winner: the group who make the correct and earliest sentence
Lead in:
- ask Ss: Who can guess the grammar point of our lesson today?
→ Relative clauses.
Unit 10: NATURE IN DANGER
II. Presentation: (15 mins)
- Example: 
	I’ll give you the address which you should write to it
	→ I’ll give you the address to which you should write.
	2. → The woman about whom I am telling you teaches me English
- Ask Ss: What is the exact grammar point we learn today?
→ Relative pronouns with prepositions.
- Usage: informal English
	•Which for things
	•Whom for people
III. Practice: (20 mins)
1. Sentence transformation:
- ask Ss to work in pair
- deliver handout 1
- ask Ss to combine 2 sentences by using relative pronouns with prepositions
- 3 mins for Ss to finish
- call some Ss to answer
- after each answer of Ss, call one Ss to repeat
- check and correct students’ answers
2. Multiple choice:
- ask Ss to work in individual
- deliver handout 2
- ask Ss to choose the best option
- 4 mins for Ss to finish
- call some Ss to answer
- check the answer with whole class
3. Sentence building:
- ask Ss to work in group
- deliver 4 pictures including words for sentence completion
- ask Ss to put the words in order to make meaningful sentences
- 3 mins for each group to finish
- call 4 groups to write the answers
- check Ss’ answers and mark.
IV. Production: (3 mins)
- ask Ss to work in individual
- ask Ss to write 2 sentences using Whom and Which following a preposition
- 2 mins for Ss to finish
- call 2 Ss to write their sentences
- give Feedback
V. Homework: (2 mins)
- ask Ss to do 3 exercises in textbook, p.122&123
- ask Ss to do exercises in handout 3, 4 (deliver handout 3, 4 for Ss)
- ask Ss to prepare the next lesson
