Warm-up
- Instruct how to lesson.
Expending sentence.
- The teacher writes the word “ FRIEND’’ on the board.
- Students are asked to expand it by adding at the beginning or the end of what is already written to make a meaningful sentence.

- Asks Ss make sentences with “ Friend’’
- Guides the new lesson.
- Listen
- Make sentences.

Before you Write
Task 1
- Teacher draws handout and introduce the contents.
- Asks Ss to work the following group and explain the passage.
Handout
* Read the passage describing a person and say which sentences describe.
+ The person’s character.
+ The person appearance.
+ Like and dislikes.
+ Her habit.
Sample
 Of all my friends, I like Emily the best. She is my classmate and lives near my house. She has a fair complexion thick brown hair which she wears in a ponytail and dark brown eyes. She has a kind face and when you meet her, the first thing you notice is her smile. Her face is oval and she is attractive. She is the sort of person you can always go to if you have a problem.
 She likes reading and gardening, and she often goes for long walk over the hills. She is a very active person. Either she is making something, or mend something or doing something to entertain herself. She is extremely generous, but not very tolerant with people who do not agree with her. That is what do not like from her but most of the time I feel happy being beside her

- Gets Ss to answer the questions in front of the class.

Task 1

My best friend is one of my classmates. Her name is Luong and we have been friends for a long time. We met one day while she was looking for a book I needed in the school library. 
She has a nice face and when you meet her the first thing you notice are her beautiful dark eyes.
She is someone I like because she is clever and has a good sense of humor. We also have something in common because We both like reading novels and watching films.
I hope that we will be friends forever.
After you Write
- Asks Ss to compare writing with a partner.
- Asks some groups to remark about writing each other.
Homework
- Asks Ss to write again.
- Asks them to prepare Language Focus
- Work individual.
- Write a passage again.
