I. So sánh của tính từ / trạng từ 
1. So sánh hơn , kém 4.So sánh bằng :
 a.Tính từ / trạng từ ngắn : 
S + is / are / am + as + adj +as +..

S + V + adver + than +
 Ex: She is as tall as her father 
Ex : She is taller than me He runs as fast as me
 He runs faster than her They are as careful as their parents
 These cars are better than those ones I speak English as fluently as her
b.Tính từ / trạng từ dài :

S + V + more adv + than
Ex :She is more intelligent than him
 They work more carefully than me
* So sánh kép :

II. Đại từ bất định :
1.something / someone (somebody) : dùng trong câu khẳng định 
-something : một điều gì đó / một vật gì đó
-someone (somebody ) : một người nào đó
2.anything / anyone ( anubody ) : dùng trong câu phủ định , câu hỏi
-anything : bất cứ cái gì , vật gì , thứ gì
-anyone ( anybody ) : bất cứ người nào , bất cứ ai
3.everything / everyone ( everybody ) : dùng trong câu khẳng định
-everything : mọi thứ , mọi vật
-everyone (everybody ) : mọi người , mỗi người
4.nothing / no one ( nobody ) : dùng trong câu khẳng định nhưng có ý nghĩa phủ định
-nothing : không gì cả
-no one ( nobody ) : không ai , không người nào
Tất cả các đại từ kể trên đều dùng với động từ số ít
 Ex : There is someone in the house 
 Everybody is at home

-diễn tả 1 sự việc sẽ xảy ra hoặc dự đoán sẽ xảy ra trong tương lai mà chưa biết kết quả

-diễn tả 1 sự việc đã xảy ra trong quá khứ nhưng không đề cập đến thời gian xảy ra
