-Teacher divides class into 2 groups and gives instruction: “Each group will have 5 students joining this game. You have to stand into 2 lines. The first student of each line will look at the board, there are some words and you have to remember them in order to whisper them to the next student, the line will be continued until the last student run to the board and write down all these words. Group having more correct words in the shortest time will be the winner”
-Teacher checks students’ understanding of the instruction. 
-Teacher sticks the poster with words on the board and lets them begin.
-Teacher checks students’ answers and gives positive feedback 
-Teacher asks: “ What do these words remind you of” to lead to the new lesson.

 2. Activity 2: Teaching new words
Giving the meaning of these following new words:
1) Ecologist(n): [ i'k lədʒist] Expert in studying the relations of the living things to their surroundings ( nhà sinh thái học)
2) Fertilize(v): ['f :t laiz] To make soil be able to produce strong plants( bón phân)
3) Nitrogen(n): ['naitrədʒən] Nitơ
4) Oxygen(n): [' ksidʒən] Oxy
5) Carbon dioxide(n): ['kɑ:bən dai'ɔksaid] CO2

2. Activity 2: Gap filling
 Listen to the tape and complete the sentences by the missing words
 Solar energy, air and water are renewable resources because there is an (1) supply. However, this definition may change if people are not careful with these resources. The amount of solar energy that reaches the earth depends on the(2) If the atmosphere is polluted, the solar energy that reaches the earth (3).. be dangerous. - Make an interview between an ecologist and a journalist some sources of energy

You are an ecologist. You are going to have an interview with an journalist about some sources of energy. You have to answer his/ her questions about how to protect them, their importance, etc.
CARD A
You are an journalist. You are going to interview an ecologist about some sources of energy. You have to ask him some questions about some renewable and non- renewable sources of energy, their importance or how to protect, etc. 
-Teacher writes down some words in the text on the board and asks students to find out how many words in these words they can recognize after the first listening 
-Teacher uses pictures and explanations to elicit the meaning of these new words for students.
-Teacher reads the words as a model and lets students repeat in chorus and individually
-Teacher asks students to read all the sentences in task 1 first 
-Teacher plays the tape for the second time and asks students to do the task
- Teacher asks students to work 
in pairs to compare the answers.
-Teacher gets some students to give their answers.
-The third listening is given to students to check the right answers, teacher stops the tape right after each sentence containing the answer.
-The correct answers will be written on blackboard.
- Teacher asks students to work in group of 4, read the passage carefully and identify what part of speech of the missing words( noun, verb, adj or adv, etc.)
-Teacher gets some groups to give their answers and plays the tape the first time for students to fill the gaps
-Teacher asks students to check their answers with their friends and listen to the tape for the second time to check the right answer. Teacher stops the cassette right after each sentence containing the answer.
-The correct answer will be 
written on the board.
-The last listening is given for students to see how much they understand the text.
-Teacher gives students handouts and asks them to work in pairs to make an interview 
-Teacher asks 2 pairs to practice in front of class and gives positive feedback
