Lesson 4: Writing
 A. Aims 
 1. Objectives : By the end of the lesson, sts will be able to:
	- get to know the content and form of a letter showing satisfaction and 
 dissatisfaction to the postal services.
	- write a letter showing satisfaction and dissatisfaction to the postal services.
 2. Teaching aids:
	- blackboard, chalk, handouts, .....
	- textbook, lesson plan, ....
 B. Procedures

I. Organization
- T checks the number of students and asks Ss to make some class arrangement.
 II. Checking the old lesson
- T calls on 1 student to talk about the rapid growth in telephone numbers in Viet Nam in the past years and asks her/him whether he/she is satisfied with the postal services or not.
- T gives comments and mark.
 III. New lesson 
 1. Warm- up: 
Writing a letter to express satisfaction or dissatisfaction
- T provides sts with the handouts and has them read the given adjectives and underline those can make people satisfied.
- T calls on 1 student to present the answers and gives some more adjectives.
- T gives comments and leads sts to the new lesson.
 2. Preparing sts to write (Task 1)
- T gets sts to read the text about Thanh Ba post office again and asks them to answer these questions:
1. What time does it open and close?
2. What is it equipped with?
3. What services are offered?
4. What are the attitudes of the staff?
- T guides and explains what sts have to discuss in Task 1.
- T gets sts to work with a partner to discuss the things that make them satisfied or dissatisfied with the services. 
- T goes round to observe and offer help.
- T calls on some sts to present their ideas in font of the class.
 3. Writing
- T introduces the requirement of the letter which the director want people to write.
- T gets sts to use the ideas they discussed in Task 1 to write a letter to express satisfaction or dissatisfaction to the director of the post office.
- T goes round to observe and offer help.
 4. Feedback on sts’ writing
- T asks sts to exchange their writing with another student for peer correction.
- T goes round and collects mistakes
- T collects some writing for quick feedback.
- T writes sts’ typical errors on the board and elicits self and peer correction.
- T provides general comments on the writing.
 IV. Consolidation
- T summarises the main points of the lesson.
 V. Homework
- T asks sts to write the description of the pie chart they have seen in the newspaper.
