 A. Aims 
 1. Objectives : By the end of the lesson, sts will be able to:

 B. Procedures

I. Organization
- T checks the number of students and asks Ss to make some class arrangement.
 II. Checking the old lesson
- T calls on 2 Ss to make a small dialogue about what they think is necessary for their learning.
- T gives comment and marks.
 III. New lesson 
 1. Warm- up
- T hangs some pictures about several local post offices on the black board and and gives some questions .
- T gets sts to ask and answer these questions in pairs.
- T calls some pairs to practice.
Questions:
1. What do you see in the pictures?
2. How far is it from your house to there?
3. Have you ever been there?

 2. Before you read
- T gets sts to open their books and look at the pictures on page 100 and then T introduces some postal services via photos.
Some postal services:
+ Mail and parcel service, Express mail service, Money transfer service, Press distribution, Flower lelegram service, phone calls and faxes, Phone cards and Internet cards, Postal savings,.
- T pre-teaches some words:
+ to equip (v): trang bị
+ advanced (adj): tiên tiến, hiện đại
+ spacious (n): rông rãi
+ courteous (n): thân thiện.
+ secure (adj):an toàn
+ notify (v): nhận ra, nhân thấy
+ recipient (n):người nhận
+ graphics (n): hình ảnh
 3. While you read
* Setting the scene: You are going to read a passage about Thanh Ba post office. While reading, do the tasks below.
* Task 1:
- T gets sts to read the sentences and then read the passage quickly and stop at the lines that contain the words to try to get their meaning.
- T checks sts’ understanding by asking them to provide the Vietnamese meaning.
- T instructs sts to use some strategies to do task 1.
- T asks sts to work individually to do the task.
- T goes around to help sts when necessary.
- T asks sts to exchange their answers to the others.
- T asks sts for the answers and tells them to explain their choices.
Keys: 1C, 2 B, 3 D, 4 C
 * Task 2
- T asks sts how to do this task and may instruct them to use some strategies to do the task.
- T asks sts to work individually to do the task.
- T asks sts to exchange their answers to the others.
