 1. Objectives : By the end of the lesson, sts will be able to:

- Idintify some different types of volunteer work.

- Learn some vocabularies related to the topic.

 - Talk about different activities related to the volunteer work.

 2. Teaching aids:

 - blackboard, chalk, some pictures showing somevolunteer activities.

 - textbook, lesson plan

Lesson 2: Speaking
 A. Aims
 1. Objectives : By the end of the lesson, sts will be able to:
- Idintify some different types of volunteer work.
- Learn some vocabularies related to the topic. 
	- Talk about different activities related to the volunteer work.
 2. Teaching aids:
	- blackboard, chalk, some pictures showing somevolunteer activities.
	- textbook, lesson plan
 B. Procedures

I. Organization
- T checks the number of students and asks Ss to make some class arrangement.
 II. Checking the old lesson
- T calls on some Ss and asks:
1. Why do people do volunteer work?
2. Have you ever done volunteer work?
3. What was it?
..
- T gives comments and marks 
III. New lesson 
 1. Warm- up
- T divides the class into groups of 3 ,4 Sts and guides them how to play a game.
- T gives each group a set of pictures, Sts are required to match them with a suitable activity. Which group finishes first and has the most correct answers will be the winner.(handouts)
- T leads Ss to the new lesson. 
 2. Task 1:
- T asks 1 student to read out the requirement of the task.
- T asks Ss to work in pairs to do the task 
- T elicits the volunteer work from Ss:
+ Volunteer work: taking part in an excursion and participating in an speaking English club because you do it for yourself not for other peolpe.
+ Volunteer activities: the rest activities 3. Task 2
- T asks 1 student to read out the requirement of the task.
- T instructs: You are gonna make conversations based on the given suggestions.
- T asks Ss to read the model conversation on the page 50. then read the list of volunteer activities and the exact things related to them.
- T elicits and explains some new words
 + War invalid: thương binh
 + Martyr: Liệt sỹ
 + Intersection: ngã ba, ngã tư 
- T guides Ss to match the activities on the left with corresponding activities on the right
- T asks Ss to practise the conversation.
- Calls on some pairs to act out
- T elicits feed from the class and gives final comments
4. Task 3:
-T instructs: Now you work in groups to talk about a kind of volunteer work 
- T asks Ss to read through the example in the book. T encourages Ss to use transition signals such as also, besides, moreover .
- T gets sts to work in groups to make similar talks.
- T goes around the class to observe and collect errors
- T calls on some Ss to talk about the activities they take part.
- T gives feedback and comments.
 IV. Consolidation
- T summarises the main points of the lesson by asking some questions.
1. List some volunteer work and activities?
2. How to do them?
3. How to make them more perfect?
4. ..
 V. Homework
- T asks sts to learn by heart all of the words and expressions used to talk about volunteer work and activities
and do the extra exercises in workbook.

- The monitor reports the number of students in his/her class to the teacher.
