 A. Aims 
 1. Objectives : By the end of the lesson, sts will be able to:
	- write a paragraph to describe the preparations for the Asian Games held in VN.
	- get to know the form of the description writing.
 2. Teaching aids:

I. Organization
- T checks the number of students and asks Ss to make some class arrangement.
 II. Checking the old lesson
- T calls on 1 student to say something about some national parks in the USA.
1. How many national parks are there?
2. How many people visit them?
3. How are they?
4. 
- T gives comments and mark.
 III. New lesson 
 1. Warm- up: 
- T gets sts to match the verbs in column A with the noun phrases in column B.

- T gets sts to guess the meaning of some words and then he explain some difficult words.
- T leads sts to the writing activity: Describing the preparations for the Asian Games
 2. Preparing sts to write 
- T introduces the situation: Suppose VN is going to hold the Asian Games. What will we have to do to prepare for the Games? 
- T gives some questions for sts to discuss.
1. What will we do first?
2. Why will we have to upgrade the national sports centers and stadiums?
3. What about the training areas and the roads?
4. What will we have to equip the hotels and guess houses?
5. Who will we recruit to serve the games?
6. What competition will we have to hold?
7. ..
- T gets sts to work with a partner to answer the questions. 
- T goes round to observe and offer help.
- T calls on some sts to present their answers in font of the class.
 3. Writing
- T gets sts to work in pairs using the given answers to write a paragraph. T may get sts to use some connectives and other adverbs such as: first, next, then, so, because, moreover,.. and use the present simple or the future tense.
- T goes round to observe and offer help.
 4. Feedback on sts’ writing
- T asks sts to exchange their writing with another student for peer correction.
- T goes round and collects mistakes
- T collects some writing for quick feedback.
- T writes sts’ typical errors on the board and elicits self and peer correction.
- T provides general comments on the writing.
 IV. Consolidation
- T summarises the main points of the lesson.
 V. Homework
- T asks sts to write the description of the pie chart they have seen in the newspaper.
