A. Aims
1. Objectives: At the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:
- ask and answer the questions about the activities of the Asian Games.
- talk about the results of the Vietnamese athletes at 14th Asian Games.

I. Organization
- T checks the number of students in class and asks Ss to make some class - arrangement. 
 II. Checking the old lesson
- T calls one student to read paragraph 1 of the text and translate it into VietNamese.
- T calls another student to read paragraph 2 of the text and translate it into VietNamese.
- T gives remarks and marks
 III. New lesson 
 1. Warm- up
- T gets sts to complete these sentences.
1. 14th, were, the, where, Asian, held, Games, when, and?
2. countries, in, how, the, part, many, took, Games?
3. were, at, Games, sports, many, completed, how, the?
- T asks sts to answer the questions:
- T leads to the next part.
 2. Task 1
- T asks 1 student to read the requirement of the task loudly and explain what they have to do.
- T explains more to make it clear to all students in class.
- T gets sts to study the table carefully.
- T revises sts how to pronounce the ordinal numbers, years, and the names of the country.
- T gets sts to work in pairs to ask and answer the questions.
- T goes around, controls and helps.
- T calls some pairs to ask and answer as example.
 3. Task 2
- T asks 1 student to read the requirement of the task loudly and explain what they have to do.
- T explains more to make it clear to all students in class.
- T asks sts to work in pairs, use the information from the table and then ask the questions like this.
Example:
A: In which sport did Vietnamese athletes win medals?
B: Body building, Billiards, Karatedo,...
A: How many medals did they win?
B: 10.
A: In which sport did Vietnamese athletes win 2 gold medals and 1 bronze one?
B: Karatedo
- T asks sts to do the same.
- T goes around, monitors, and helps.
- T asks each pair to talk about other results.
- T gives remarks to sts
IV. Consolidation
- T summarizes the main points of the lesson.
 V. Homework
T asks Ss to do exercises in the workbook
