 - Do extra exercises containing infinitives with and without “to” such as putting the verbs in brackets or choosing the best answer.

 A. Aims 
 1. Objectives : By the end of the lesson, sts will be able to:

 I. Organization
- T checks the number of students and asks Ss to make some class arrangement.
 II. Checking the old lesson
- T calls on 2 sts to go to the board. One does the rest of Ex1 and the other does the rest of Ex2 in page 20
- T checks and gives comments and marks
 III. New lesson
 1. Warm- up :

- T divides the class into 2 groups, instructs them how to play the game.

 2. Grammar (revision)
 a. To infinitive
* Presentation
- T writes some examples on the board and underline the “to inf”.
Eg: + I have some letters to write.
 + she wants to meet you
- T asks sts to give comments on the use of “to inf” in these examples. 
- T reviews the form and use of “to inf” in the examples quickly.“To inf” is used in these cases:
+ V + to V
Eg: She agreed to love me.
+ V + what/where/ when.... + to V
Eg: I know what to do .
+ V + O + to V
Eg: she asks me to do this work.
+ adj (of sb/for sb) + to V
Eg: It’s nice to meet you.
+ too adj + to V/ old enough + to V
Eg: she is too young to go to school
+ N + to V
Eg: She goes to school to learn.
 * Practice (Exercises below)
 b. Bare infinitive
 * Presentation
- T writes some examples on the board and underline the “bare inf”.
Eg: + I can play football.
 + Let us go to the cinema.
 + I watched him steal my money
- T asks sts to give comments on the use of “bare inf” in these examples. 
- T reviews the form and use of “bare inf” in the examples quickly.“Bare inf” is used in these cases:
+ Modal verbs + V
Eg: I must go to school now.
+ had better/ would rather + V
Eg: You had better go to bed now.
+ Let/make + O + V
Eg: he makes me do the washing up.
+ Verbs of perception + O + V
Eg: I saw him pass my house.
+ In positive command statements
Eg: Open your book!
 * Practice (Exercises below)

- T summarises the main points of 
the lesson.

- T asks sts to do the extra exercises in the workbook.
