Aims: 
1.Objectives: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:

- T checks the number of students and asks Ss to make some class arrangement.

- The monitor reports the number of students in his/her class to the teacher.
 II. Checking the old lesson:
- T calls 2 sts to interview each other about a famous friend they know, using the words and expressions in the last period.
- T gives comments and marks

 III. New lesson: 
Warm- up: Chain-game
- T divides the class into two groups, explains how to play the game and then lets sts play the game
 T says: “There is a table in the classroom ................... 
- T declares the winner and leads Ss to the new lesson.

Before you listen:
*Work in pairs:
- T asks Ss to discuss the questions in pairs.
- T calls on some Ss to present in front of the class.
- T asks sts to guess what they are going to listen about.
* Lisen and repeat
- T reads words for the first time.
- T reads all the words twice again.
- T explains the meaning and asks some sts to read again
- T gives feedback

While you listen:
*Task 1:
- T asks Ss to open the textbook.
- T asks a student to read out the requirement of the task one.
- T asks Ss to listen to the tape recording and decide the statements are true or false according to the talk.
- T plays the tape recording several times if necessary.
- T has Ss compare their answers with a friend and correct the false ones.
- T calls on some Ss to read their answers aloud in front of the class.
- T feedbacks and gives out the answers:
Lan’s talk:1.F, 2.F, 3.T, 4. F, 5.T 6.F 
Long’s talk:1.F, 2.F, 3. T, 4.T , 5.T
*Task 2:
 - T asks 1 student to read out the requirement of task 2
 - T asks Ss to read information table carefully and have a guess of the words needed.
- T asks Ss to listen to the tape recording again and note down the ideas in the table.
- T plays the tapes recording more than once if necessary.
-- T has Ss compare their answers with a friend
- T asks Ss to write the exact and grammatically correct words. 
- T calls on some Ss to explain their answers in front of the class.
- T gives feedbacks and gives correct answers:

- T has comments on Ss’ performance and has final thoughts on the topic.
 IV. Consolidation:
T asks sts to say what they have to remember after this lesson.
