 1. Objectives : By the end of the lesson, sts will be able to:

 - Describe the physical characteristics and personalities of their friends, using appropriate adjectives.

 - Conduct an interview about a famous friend.

 2. Teaching aids:

 - blackboard, chalk, some pictures, handouts

 - textbook, lesson plan

I. Organization
- T checks the number of students and asks Ss to make some class arrangement.
 II. Checking the old lesson
- T calls on 1 student to talk about the qualities of true friendship.
- T gives comments and mark.
 III. New lesson 
 1. Warm- up
 competition game - word search
- T divides the class into small groups of 4 sts and distributes the following handouts for sts to do in their own groups. Which group finishes first and has all the correct answers will be the winner.

- T checks the keys and leads sts to the new lesson from that.
 2. Task 1:
- T asks 1 student to read out the requirement of the task.
- T asks them to read Useful language on page 16 and asks if they know the meaning of the adjs provided.
- T elicits and teaches some words.

- T asks sts to provide some adjs or expressions used to describe people’s appearance.
- T asks sts to work in pairs to describe the people in the picture and then calls on some sts to present their answers.
- T gives feedback
 3. Task 2
- T asks 1 student to read out the requirement of the task.
- T asks them to look at the list of adjs in the book and asks if they understand these adjs or not.
- T elicits and explains some adjs.
+ caring (adj): quan tâm, chu đáo
+ hospitable (adj): hiếu khách
+ sincere (adj): chân thành
+ ...........................
- T divides the class into small groups and asks them to discuss. 
-T goes around, controls, and helps.
- T calls on a representative of the group to report their result to the whole class.
- T elicits feedback from the class and gives final comment
4. Task 3:
- T introduces the situation.
- T asks sts to look at their roles on p16 and the suggestions on p17 and elicits the qs they may ask.

- T makes clear the meaning of some adjs

- T asks sts to work in pairs to perform the interview in 6 minutes

 IV. Consolidation
- T summarises the main points of the lesson.
 V. Homework
- T asks sts to learn by heart all of the words and expressions used to describe people’s appearance and do the extra exercises in workbook.
