Organization - T checks the number of students and asks Ss to make some class arrangement. II. Checking the old lesson - T calls on one student to go to the board and asks some questions about him/her. - T gives comments and marks. III. New lesson 1. Grammar : * Presentation a. Perfect gerund - T writes some examples on the board and underline the “ perfect gerund” Eg: + I denied having stolen the car.. + He admitted having broken the vase. - T asks sts to give comment on the use of “gerund” in these examples. - T presents form and use the perfect gerunds. Form: Having + Vp2 Use: Perfect gerund is used as gerunds: b. Perfect participles - T writes some examples on the board and underline the “ perfect participles” Eg: + Having done all his homework, he went to bed. + Having failed twice, he didn’t want to try again. - T asks sts to give comment on the use of “V-ing” in these examples. - T presents form and use the perfect participles. Form: Having + Vp2 Use: Perfect participle is used as non-finite clause to emphasize the completion of the action. * Practice (handouts) IV. Consolidation - T summarises the main points of the lesson by asking the question. What is the difference between the perfect gerund and participle? V.
