Objectives : By the end of the lesson, sts will be able to: - Use cleft sentences in the passive correctly and appropriately when they want to focus on subject, object or some part of the sentence. 2. Organization - T checks the number of students and asks Ss to make some class arrangement. II. Checking the old lesson - T calls on one student to go to the board and asks some questions about him/her. - T gives comments and marks. III. New lesson 1. Grammar : Cleft sentences in the passive - T revises the cleft sentences and then presents the cleft sentences in the passive. Eg: The boy hit the dog in the garden. => It was the dog that was hit in the garden. 2. Exercises: give sts some handouts and get them to do. 1. Long gave Minh a lot of flowers. 2. People talked a lot about his house. 3. His father bought him a bicycle for his birthday. 4. She frightened the children. 5.
