 1. Objectives : By the end of the lesson, sts will be able to:

- Remember the form and use of the conditional sentence type 1,2 and 3.

- Know how to change conditional sentences into reported speech and do related

exercises.

 2. Teaching aids:

 - blackboard, chalk, handouts

 - textbook, lesson plan

 A. Aims 
 1. Objectives : By the end of the lesson, sts will be able to:
- Remember the form and use of the conditional sentence type 1,2 and 3.
- Know how to change conditional sentences into reported speech and do related 
exercises.
 2. Teaching aids:

	- textbook, lesson plan
 B. Procedures

 I. Organization
- T checks the number of students and asks Ss to make some class arrangement.
 II. Checking the old lesson
- T calls on one student to go to the board and asks some questions about him/her.
- T gives comments and marks.
 III. New lesson

- T divides the class into 2 groups, instructs them how to play the game.

 2. Grammar : 
Conditional in reported speech
a. Presentation
* Conditional type 1 in reported speech
- T writes these two examples on the board.
Eg: “If it rains, I will stay at home,” said the boy.
=> The boy said that if it rained, he would stay at home.
- T elicits and presents the way of changing it into reported speech.
=> Chuyển câu điều kiện loại 1 sang gián tiếp ta tuân thủ theo các quy tắc thông thường như lùi thì đt, đổi ngôi, trạng từ 
- T demonstrates by analyzing one pair of examples.
* Conditional type 2, 3 in reported speech
- T writes these four examples on the board.
Eg: 1. “If I were a millionaire, I could help a lot of poor children,” said the man.
=> The man said that if he were a millionaire, he could help a lot of poor children.
 2. “If you had asked me, I would have lent you my bike,” the boy said to his sister.
=> the boy told his sister that if she had asked him, he would have lent her his bike.
- T elicits and presents the way of changing conditional type 2, 3 in reported speech.
=> Chuyển câu điều kiện loại 2, 3 sang gián tiếp ta tuân thủ theo các quy tắc thông thường như đổi ngôi, đổi trạng từ nhưng ta không lùi thì của động từ.
- T demonstrates by analyzing 2 pairs of examples.
b. Practice
- T distributes sts some handouts and asks them to put the verb in the brackets into correct form.
- T gets sts to share their answers.
- T checks and gives final comments.
IV. Consolidation
- T summarizes the main points of 
the lesson by asking the question.
How to change a direct sentence into a reported one with infinitive?
 V. Homework
- T asks sts to do the extra exercises in the workbook.
