Organization - T checks the number of students and asks Ss to make some class arrangement. II. Checking the old lesson - T calls on one student to go to the board and asks some questions about him/her. - T gives comments and marks. III. New lesson 1. Grammar : Reported speech with gerunds a. Presentation - T reviews reported speech with gerunds. + Form: Verb+ Object + pre + gerund Verd + pre + gerund + Meaning and Use: We usually use an gerund structure to report thanks, suggestions, apology, congratulation, warning, prevention....... . We don’t use “say” in this structure. Eg: “ Thanks for helping me.” Mary said. Mary thanked me for helping her. - T reminds sts that time and place references often have to change in reported speech.
