* Practise the following sentences
A: Florence, Mr.Ba went on the tenth of last month.
B: Oh. I have warned you, haven’t I? Did he pay the rent?
A: Only to the seventh.
B: Only to the seventh?
A: Yes, and we may have no chance to see him again. Is he your friend?
B: No, Mr.Barnes is not my friend and if he phones, reminds him that he must pay the rent to the end of the month.
A: Don’t be so tense. We’ll have a new tenant on the thirteenth of this month.
 III/ GRAMMAR: 
1. Can/ Could/ or be able to:
Ex: 1. When I was young I could/ was able to climb any tree in the forest.
 2. In those day we had a car, so we could/ were able to travel very easily.
- Can / could or be able to is used to express the ability or the chance 
* Differences between can/ could and be able to
1. can/ could đươc dùng với động từ chỉ sự tri giác hoặc nhận thức: see, smell, feel, hear, taste, remember, understand
Ex: I can see Susan coming (I am be able to see Susan coming)
2. be able to được dùng ở tương lai (will be able to ) thì hoàn thành (have been able to ), và dạng nguyên mẫu (be able to)
Ex; you’ll be able to get a taxi outside the station (you will can get a taxi )
 She’ d love to be able to play the piano ( she ‘d love to can play the piano)
3. was/ were able to được dùng khi nói về một sự việc xảy ra trong tình huống đặc biệt trong qua khứ. 
Ex: We were able to get tickets for the match yesterday.
We could get tickets for the match yesterday
B. Couldn’t or were/was not able to được sử dụng trong câu phủ định:
Ex: we weren’t able to / coludn’t get there in time
C. Could have + V3/ed : diễn đạt ai đó có khã năng làm gì trong quá khứ nhưng họ đã không làm.
Ex: I could have won the game but decided to let her win.
Exercise 1: Complete the sentences, using could, couldn't or was/ were (not) able to Ex:
I look everywhere for the book but I couldn't find it.
They didn't want to come with us at first but we were able to persuade them.

* Form: 
S +V (affirmative) + , Aux- Negative + S?

Exercise 2: Read situation and write sentence with a tag question
Ex: You look out the window. The sky is blue and the sun is shining. What do you say to your friend?
(beautiful day) It's a beautiful day, isn't it
1. You’re with a friend outside a restaurant. You’re looking at the prices, which are very high.

IV/ HOME WORK
Do all the exercises on the notebook
- Preparation: Unit 16 (Reading)
- Read the passage and find new words and prepare the tasks
- T asks Ss to reorder words into their right column.
- T introduces pronunciation: / nt/ / nd / / nө/ / ns/ /nz/
- T models the three clusters / nt/ / nd / / nө/ / ns/ /nz/
for a few times and explains how to produce them.
-T reads once for Ss to hear the words containing these clusters.
- T reads again and asks Ss to repeat
- T has Ss listen to the teacher.
- T has Ss repeat the words in the book.
* Practise reading aloud these sentences
-T asks Ss to pay attention to the pronunciation then repeat the words and sentences
- T asks Ss to work in pairs and take turn to read loud the given sentences.(goes around to listen and takes notes of the typical errors.)
- T calls on some Ss to read the sentences again and provides corrective feedback.
- T asks Ss to look at examples 1&2 and give the way to use
- T give Ss take note important points 
- T asks Ss to work in alone to do the exercise
- Ss work alone and then share the answers with the partner
