-How many people are there in our country?

II. Pre – speaking : 
* Vocabulary :
- explosion (n): sự nổ, sự phát triển ồ ạt
- overpopulation (n): sự đông dân quá mức
- insurance (n): bảo hiểm
- living conditions: điều kiện sống
- living standards: tiêu chuẩn sống ( mức sống)
- implement (v)= exercise (v): thi hành
 = carry out: thực hiện

Task 1: Ask Ss to put the sentence in order.

III. While – speaking : 
* Task 2 : List the problems facing poor and populated countries. Apply useful language for speaking. Combine adjectives on the left column with nouns / noun phrases on the right column.

- lack / shortage of school / hospitals / teachers.
* Task 3 : Work out the solutions to the problems of overpopulation. Apply useful language for speaking. Combine verbs on the left column with noun phrases on the right column.

IV. Post – speaking : 
* Task 4 : Tell your classmates about the problems of overpopulation and offer solutions, using results of tasks 2 and 3

Change pronouns and adverbs

He asked her what she would say if someone stepped on her feet.
They told me (that) if it didn’t rain, they would go out with me.
