Pre-Writing
* Writing a letter of invitation.
Task 1
* Set the scene: You are going to write a friendly letters to invite your classmates to a party that you hold.
- Guide Ss to do strategies.
- Asks Ss to read carefully questions to understand them.
- Asks Ss to discuss and work in group. Then answer the following questions.
- Suggested answer.
- Walks around the class to help when necessary.
- Asks Ss to compare answers with the friends.
- Calls Ss their answers and write them on the board.
- Remark and corrected answer:
Pre-Writing
- Work in pairs.
- Read carefully questions to answer.
- Answer the questions.
1. The parties celebrated the occasions as birthday, graduation, wedding anniversary, moving to a new house, family gathering, charismas, New Year.
2. People often wear kind of clothes:
dresses, high-heel shoes for women, suits and tied for men at a party etc (formal). People often wear kind of clothes: jeans, T-shirt, skirts, at a party (informal).
3. People often bring kind of presents as book, CDs, flowers, scarves, ties, paperweight, pens, bags, hats, ect. Sts people might want to bring wine as a gift.

* Introduce: You are going to complete the letter of invitation below with the words/phrases in the box.
- Guide Ss to do strategies.
- Asks Ss to read carefully letter of invitation to understand them.
- Asks Ss to work in group and determine necessary words/ phrases every fill. Then choose applicable word.
- Suggested answer:
- Walks around the class to help when necessary.
- Asks Ss to compare answers with the friends.
- Calls Ss their answers and write them on the board.

- Asks Ss some questions to understand a letter of invitation.

Dear Ha!
 As the school year is coming to an end, I’m giving farewell party for people to meet up before they go away for holiday. would you like to come? It will be at my place at p.m this coming Sunday. I intend to invite about ten people, so it will be a small gathering and hopefully, people can socialize more easily. I will some pizzas and buy snacks and fruit. However, you might want to bring some drinks to be share. There will be dancing and Karaoke competition. So there will be a lot of fun. See you.
