1. Warm-up
- Asks to answer some questions.
1. Have you ever seen a fire?
2. How do you feel when you see a fire?
3. What would you do if you saw a fire?
- Calls on some Ss to answer.
- Feedbacks and give correct answer.
2. Before you listen
- Asks Ss to look at the picture and say what is happening.
- Give situation and suggested questions.
1. What do you see in the picture?
2. Who are they?
3.Where are they?
4. What are you doing?
* Listen and repeat
memorable, terrified, scream, replaced, gas stove, embraced, escape, protected.
- Guide Ss to read the new words and meaning.
- Asks Ss to underline the words related to picture and ask Ss to explain them.
- Suggested answer.
“Scream’’: Maybe the girl screamed when seeing the fire.
- Listen.
- Answer freely.
Listen and compare.
-Work in groups.
- Answer the questions.
1. I see a fire.
2. They are farmers.
3. They are in the house.
4. They are sleeping in the room.
- Write the words and read in chorus then individual.
- Answer.
“ gas stove’’: Maybe the fire was caused because the girl forgot to turn off the gas stove.
“embraced’’: The girl’s mother must have been very happy and embraced her.
3. While you listen
Task 1
Instruction: Christina is being interviewed about the most unforgettable experience in her life. Listen to the interview, and then decide whether the statements are true or false
- Read through the sentences to understand them. 
- Listen to the tape once time.
- Checks Ss to do the sentences.
- Listen to the tape twice time.
- Checks Ss to do the sentences.
- Listen to the tape third time and listen everyone sentence to know corrected information.
- Walks around the class to help when necessary.
- Calls Ss to answer true or false then ask “why’’
- Corrected answer.
- Listen and prepare.
- Individual work.
- Read through the sentences 
- Listen and choose true or false.
- Answer.
- Compare the answer with friends.
- Read aloud the answers and give the reasons.
1. T(she is a businesswoman)

3.F(It started in the kitchen because she forgot to turn off the gas stove)

Task 2
Instruction: You are going to listen to the story again and fill the gaps with the information you hear.
- Instructs them to use some strategies:
- Read through the sentences to understand them.
- Check Ss to guess or remember the words.
- Listen to the tape once, twice, third times.
- Checks Ss to do the sentences.
- Walk around the class and help when necessary
- Calls some Ss to give answers.
- Suggested answer.
Task 2
- Listen and prepare listening again.
- Individual work.
- Answer

- Practice the text in the front of the class.
4. After you listen 
- Asks Ss to discuss in groups about information in the textbook.
Christina says that family is more important than anything else. Do you agree or disagree with her?
- Guides Ss to discuss about feature Christina’s
- Walks around to help when necessary.
- Calls on some Ss to check and Ss to give opinion.
- Suggested answer.
- Listen.
- Work in pairs.
- Compare the answer with friends.
- Read aloud the answers and give the reasons.
- Ex:
Family is more important than anything else because it can’t replaced/ it gives me love, support.
- Listen and compare.
5. Homework
- Ask Ss to rewrite the story again on the note book.
- Asks Ss to prepare new lesson.
- Rewrite the story again on the note book.
