I. Aim: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to know some hobbies and they can explain the meanings of some new words in context, understand the passage by answering the questions. 
Develop such reading micro-skills as scanning for specific ideas and guessing meaning in the context.
Use the information they have read to discuss the related topic.
 II. Teaching aids: Real objects/ pictures/ posters/ textbook.
III. Anticipated problems: Students may have enough vocabulary to talk about the topic need to provided appropriate linguistic resources.

I. WARM UP: 
Matching: Hobbies and pictures
* Swimming, keeping fish, playing chess, fishing, playing the guitar, collecting stamps.
II. PRE-READING:
* Vocabulary:
1. Guitarist /gi’ta:rist/ (n): a person who plays the guitar.
2. Successful / sək’sesfl/ (adj): thành công
3. Admire / əd’maiə(r)/ (v): khâm phục
Ex: I admire him for his success in business.
4. Variety / və’raiəti/ (n): nhiều loại khác nhau
Ex: He likes collecting rare varieties of stamps.
5. Album / ‘ælbəm/ (n) tập ảnh
6. Common / ‘komәn/ (adj): thường, phổ biến
- Ask sts to read the passage 
- Ask sts to work in pairs to do task 1 in 7’
- After 7’, correct the sts’ answers
