Knowledge: Know about some of the sports and use them to talk each other 2. Skill: Ask and answers the activities in the games and talk about the Vietnamese in the Asian game II. Preparation Text book and pictures lesson plan and use other project Teacher’ s acts Students’ acts Content Sup - Put Ss in teams - Draw two lines on the board and label them with two categories. - Give Ss a letter from the alphabet, for example letter M. As quickly as possible, they should think of a word connected with each category beginning with letter M and write them down. - Ask Ss to work in 4 groups to find out the answers (2 groups find the countries and 2 groups find the sports) Feedback: Ask Ss to copy them on the board - Check Ss’ answer and then practise speaking Ask Ss to open their books and look at the information about the Asian Games in the table to check which countries have been the host countries in the Asian games until now. - Ask Ss to look at the dialogue on page 139 - Elicit the language from Ss - Ask Ss to look at the dialogue on page 139 and repeat the conservation. - Ask Ss to use the information in the table to substitute for the suitable information. - Teacher moves around to give help. - Ask some pairs to come to the front of the class and act out their conversation. - Ask Ss to take turns to talk about the sport results of the Vietnamese athletes at the 14th Asian Games, using the information from the table on page 140 – task 2. E.g.: The first Asian Games was held in 1951 in New Delhi, India. III. WHILE_SPEAKING: Task1: Repetition and substitution Example: A: When and where was the 2nd Asian Games held? B: It was held in 1954 in the Philippines. A: How many countries took part in the games? B: 18 A: How many sports were there at the Games? B: 8 Task 2: Bodybuilding:gold medal(Ly Duc), Bronze Medal(Pham Van Mach) Billiards: gold medal( Tran Dinh Hoa), silver medal( Duong hoang Anh) Karatedo: gold medals (Vu Kim Anh, Nguyen Trong Bao Ngoc), Bronze medal( Pham Tran Nguyen) Shooting: Bronze medal( Nguyen Manh Tuong) Wushu: Silver medal( nguyen Thi Ngoc Oanh), Bronze medal( Nguyen Thi My Duc) Eg:At the 14th Asian Games held in Busan, Korea, in bodybuilding, the Vietnamese athletes won one medal and one bronze medal. In billiards, they won one gold medal and one silver medal.. IV. POST-SPEAKING: Make questoins about the table. Eg:Who won gold medal in bodybuilding? .. V. HOMEWORK: Prepare the next part.
