I- objectives:

 1. Aim:By the end of the lesson sts will be able to ask for give information about a dicussion of reasons cause to population explosion and their influences to the earth and they can put forward a great many ideas to improve the population explosion in the country themselves or in the world.

 2. Lexical items: Words/ phrases related to reasons cause to population explosion : poor, conditions , low standards , not eanogh food, lack / shortage of school, , hospital, teacher, nurse.

 3. Structures: - an awareness of problems of overpopulation, living standards.

 - conditional sentences.

II. Teaching aids: pictures , posters

III. Anticipated problems: Sts may have limited linguistic resources for discussion.

IV- Procedures:

1- Organization:

 - Greeting and checking the sts attendance

2- Checking the old lesson

 * Do exercise 1 in the part 1 of reading (1.D 2. C 3.B, 4.A 5. C )

 * Do exercise in the part 2 of reading (.1.about 2.live 3. few 4. place 5. almost 6.plants 7. move 8. becomes 9. because 10. travel)

II. Pre – speaking : 
* Vocabulary :
- explosion (n): sự nổ, sự phát triển ồ ạt
- overpopulation (n): sự đông dân quá mức
- insurance (n): bảo hiểm
- living conditions: điều kiện sống
- living standards: tiêu chuẩn sống ( mức sống)
- implement (v)= exercise (v): thi hành
                   = carry out: thực hiện
Checking : RoR
Task 1: Ask Ss to put the sentence in order.
 ( open keys)
III. While – speaking : 
* Task 2 : List the problems facing poor and populated countries. Apply useful language for speaking. Combine adjectives on the left column with nouns / noun phrases on the right column.
- poor living conditions
- low living standards
- not enough / expense food
- lack / shortage of school / hospitals / teachers.
* Task 3 : Work out the solutions to the problems of overpopulation. Apply useful language for speaking. Combine verbs on the left column with noun phrases on the right column.
Ex: The government / They should raise an awareness of the problems of overpopulation because .
IV. Post – speaking : 
* Task 4 : Tell your classmates about the problems of overpopulation and offer solutions, using results of tasks 2 and 3
V. Homework : 
 Re-practise speaking at home.
