Today we’ll how to write a complete writing about holiday activities - write down on the board Unit13: Writing about Holiday Activities (cont) 2. Pre- writing (10) Activity 1: Outline of the Description -Elicit and introduce the general outline of a description of holiday activities. +Introduction of the event ( where, When, Who, what ) and its general features. +Specific details / detailed description of what was happening +Conclusion (how you felt about / your impression of the event ) Chalk and board 3. while-writing (20’) Write it Yourself ( Task b, pp. 186- 187) -Ask SS to work in pairs, based on the outline, the sample in task a and the facts given, write a letter to their pen pal to tell him / her a bout the holiday activities of Co Loa festival. - Go around to monitor and give help if necessary. - When they have finished, collect SS’ writings for correction later. Post-writing (10’) Peer correction -Ask one or tow students to write their letters on the board for the class to check together. -Tell the class to read the letters and give correction if necessary. -Invite SS to give comments on their friends’ writings. -Give feedback and comments. 5.Homework (1’) Writing -Ask SS to write about a holiday activity in their hometown textbook
