Lesson 1: Reading
* Aims and Requirement
- Sts understand the passage and can do all the tasts well: Dictionary skill, identifying main idea and answering the questions.

Procedure
I. Warm up
- Sts look at the picture of a class in the remote area and describe
- T leads to the new lesson.
II. New lesson
 - Sts listen to the T's reading and underline new word in the reading text.
- T explains some new words and asks sts do the task 1
* Task 
- Sts read all the sentences carefully and then use the dictionary to find Vietnamese meaning of these phrases in the task.
- T goes around the class to check and help some sts.
- Some sts do orally.
- T comments and corrects

- Sts read the passage again and then find out the main ideas of the pasage:

The table shows the trends of literacy rates in Sunshine country from 1998 to 2007. And they varied considerably in different parts of the country.
In the lowland, there was a gradual increase in the number of literate males and females from 1998 to 2004. And the number of literate polpulation went up sharply between 2004 and 2007. Meanwhile in the midland, the literate rate in the highland from 1998 to 2004. And between 2004 and 2007, this fall gor sharply. These data may be useful for plans educational development in each area of the country.
