	-practice the dialogues
	-ask and answer about birthday parties

III.Teaching aids : textbook , pictures , a birthday postcard , real objects ( candles ), poster

*Warm-up :
-give a birthday postcard and some pictures of a birthday party and ask sts to guess what they are
-elicit the new lesson
*Presentation :
-ask sts to look at the pictures in the book and guess the situation of the dialogues
-elicit some new words and structures from sts
-drill reading
*Practice :
+Activity 1 :
-read the dialogues twice and ask sts to listen
-let them practice the dialogues in pairs 
-call some pairs to practice before the class
-ask the others to remark
-correct if necessary
+Activity 2 : 
-ask sts to close their book 
-stick the poster on the board and ask sts to do the task
-ask sts to do in groups of five or six , check if the statements given are true or false and then call some sts from groups to give their groups’answer before the class
-ask the others to remark
-give feedback
*Production :
-ask some sts about their birthday :
 . When is your birthday ? / What is your date of birth ? ( It is on .)
 .What are you going to do ?
 (I am going to .)
-ask the others to remark
-correct if necessary
*Vocabulary :
-ring – rang – rung (v) : reo (chuông cửa , chuông điện thoại )
-push (v) : đẩy
-candle (n) : nến
-take sth away (v) : đem (cái gì ) đi nơi khác
-guest (n) : khách
-honey (n) : mật ong / con yêu quý 
*Structure :
. be going to ( dự định sẽ làm gì trong tương lai )

 I + am + going to + Vinfinitive
Ex:
She is going to buy a new book tomorrow
They are going to come to London
I am going to learn French
.have to + Vinfinitive : phải làm gì 
Ex : I have to do my homework

Sts don’t practice the dialogues well . They feel difficult to pronunce some words : push , ring , guest . Sts understand the contents of the dialogues well
